Scientists’ letter ahead of COP26 summit

38 representatives of scientific institutions around the world signed a letter to support participants of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in achieving the conference goals, including commitments to achieve climate neutrality by 2050 and to limit the global warming to 1.5oC. Among the signatories of the letter is Prof. Jerzy Duszyński, president of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Origin of horse domestication

Modern domestic horses come from the Western Eurasian steppe – report scientists. An international research team, including researchers from the PAS Institute of Systematics and Evolution of Animals and PAS Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology manage to determine the beginnings of domestication of horses.
