Katarzyna Piwocka has been elected the Co-Chair of the ISAC Marylou Ingram Scholars Committee

Katarzyna Piwocka from the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology has been elected to a two-year term (2018-2020) as the Co-Chair of the ISAC Marylou Ingram Scholars Committee of the International Society for Advancement of Cytometry (ISAC).

The International Society for Advancement of Cytometry, brings together scientists, technology and development specialists, clinicians, among others, from around the world, who are involved in the quantitative studies of cells and cell networks, with the use of cytometry techniques, including flow, mass and image cytometry. ISAC is a perfect platform which connects a wide variety of disciplines and professional backgrounds in research, technology and innovation in these areas.

One of the crucial activities of ISAC, is supporting the careers of young scientists, who can develop as future leaders.  ISAC Marylou Ingram Scholars Committee coordinates these activities, providing  a five-year career development program designed to enhance the scientific and leadership potential of research leaders in the field of cytometry. The IMISP is first and foremost, a community of approximately 25 young researchers, prospective leaders in the field of cytometry, selected from all over the world.

Katarzyna Piwocka was awarded the ISAC Scholarship in 2012-2016.
