Study visits

The call for applications for short-term visits (incoming and outgoing) in 2022 is now open.

The main goal of the program is to support research mobility and to establish or broaden contacts between researchers from Poland and researchers working abroad. The visits may last up to 6-days and may serve to give a lecture, conduct a seminar, work on a grant application or joint publications, etc.

Applications for funding for short-term visits can be submitted until August 17, 2022.  Please see below for procedures of the call and evaluation of applications.

Short-term visits of researchers from abroad at PAS

Formal requirements

  • A doctoral degree (PhD)

Submission deadline

  • August 17, 2022

Start date and duration of the stay

  • the start date is set individually by the candidate and the host institution
  • the visits must end by November 30, 2022

Financing:

  • joint cost of per diem allowances plus accommodation amounting to PLN 450 per day (if it is necessary to pay a per diem allowance, the per diem cannot exceed PLN 90),
  • economically and substantively justified travel costs (air, rail, bus or business/private car)

Procedure

  • we accept a maximum of 2 applications per institute
  • applications sent on the form "Application for a study visit at PAN" available below, should be submitted by e-mail only to bwz@pan.pl
  • evaluation results and the information on the funding granted will be sent to the institutes by September 10, 2022

Short-term visits abroad undertaken by the researchers of PAS

Submission deadline

  • August 17, 2022

Start date and duration of the stay

  • the start date is set individually by the candidate and the host institution
  • the visits must end by November 30, 2022

Financing:

  • daily board and accommodation at rates not higher than those included in the table attached to the General terms of contract for study visits abroad undertaken by scientists of the Polish Academy of Sciences
  • economically and substantively justified travel costs (air, rail, bus or business/private car)

Procedure

  • we accept a maximum of 1 applications per institute
  • applications sent on the form "Application for a study visit abroad" available below, should be submitted by e-mail only to bwz@pan.pl
  • evaluation results and the information on the funding granted will be sent to the institutes by September 10, 2022

Invitation to the symposium of the Polish Academy of Sciences

 A joint symposium “Safeguarding Our Climate, Advancing Our Society” co-organized by the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Pontifical Academy of Sciences and the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) was held on 10 December 2018.
