ALLEA launches the Call for Applications for the European Fund for Displaced Scientists
The European Federation of Academies of Sciences and Humanities (ALLEA) has launched a call for applications for funding (Funding Line 1) under the European Fund for Displaced Scientists (EFDS). The fund was established in the partnership with the Breakthrough Prize Foundation (USA).
ALLEA received $1.5 million to support scholars and scientific institutions that have been impacted by the war in Ukraine. Up to €25,000 is available for a stipend of up to 12 months.
Applications are open to scientific institutions that intend to host Ukrainian scientists.
Deadline for submission of completed applications: 1 July 2022.
