Representatives of the Chinese Academy of Sciences visit PAS

Professor Jerzy Duszyński, President of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS), received a delegation of prominent scientists from the Chinese Academy of Sciences on December 14, 2018.

The meeting was attended by: Prof. Dahe Qin (CAS, TWAS); Prof. Hong Mei (Beijing Institute of Technology), Prof. Fu Gao (CAS), Prof. Su Ronghui (Deputy Director of the Academic Division of CAS), Prof. Pengfei Li (Academic Division of CAS), Prof. Xinwu Xu (China Meteorological Administration), Prof. Jin Xu (Bureau of International Cooperation, National Natural Science Foundation of China), Dr. Hui Lin (Associate Research Fellow, Institutes of Science and Development of CAS), Mr. Guo Dongbo from the Embassy in Warsaw, Dr. Anna Plater-Zyberk, Head of Office of International Cooperation, PAS, and Joanna Szwedowska-Kotlińska, Office of International Cooperation, PAS.

During the meeting, both organizations presented the scope of their scientific activities. The guests showed interest in the symposium on climate change, which accompanied the United Nations Climate Summit 2018 in Katowice (COP24) entitled Safeguarding Our Climate, Advancing Our Society. The participants discussed the possibility of undertaking scientific cooperation in areas of mutual interests such as climate change.
