For the 100th anniversary of the Nencki Institute, the Research Station in Mikołajki gained not only a new name but also initiated a new tradition – the Tree Avenue of the Nencki Institute was launched. Three trees were planted for a good start, including plane tree, Ambrose and tulip tree.
The International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw (IIMCB) invites applications for the position of a Group Leader with a planned starting date in November 2019.

On August 29th 2018, prof. Maria Jolanta Rędowicz, on behalf of the Director of the Institute prof. Agnieszka Dobrzyń, awarded the Medal of the 100th Anniversary of the Nencki Institute to prof. Laszlo Nyitray, head of the Department of Biochemistry of the Lorand Eotvos University in Budapest.
