Poles increasingly value friends and free time
The importance of work and religion decreases in the life of Poles, and the role of friends and free time continues to increase, studies of sociologists show. Polish attitudes approach those found in Western societies, sociologist Prof. Mirosława Marody comments for PAP.
Both tolerant and prejudiced people are happy in open societies
Societies with high level of satisfaction are those in which tolerance and mutual trust dominate. However, none of these attitudes brings satisfaction directly, and people with such views are no happier than prejudiced people, according to the psychological research conducted by Dr. Jakub Kryś.
