Dooge Medal for Professor Zbigniew Kundzewicz

The International Hydrology Prize awarded by IAHS, with UNESCO and WMO, went this year to Professor Zbigniew Kondzewicz from the PAS Institute for the Agricultural and Forest Environment. The Dooge Medal is the highest disciplinary recognition for hydrologists and it is awarded for outstanding contributions to the Science of Hydrology.

The medal was conferred during the Scientific Assembly of IAHS (International Association of Hydrological Sciences) held on 13 July 2017 in Port Elizabeth, Republic of South Africa. Professor Zbigniew Kundzewicz is already the second Polish winner of the International Hydrology Prize. The first one was Professor Zdzisław Kaczmarek in 1990.
