PAS President’s scholarships awarded

The best students in doctoral programs and doctoral schools run by PAS research institutes have been awarded with the scholarships of the President of the Academy. Congratulations to all the winners!

Scholarships for the 2021/2022 academic year were awarded on November 26, 2021 by the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences. In this way, Prof. Jerzy Duszyński distinguished ten young researchers without doctoral degree for their outstanding scientific achievements. Here are the winners:

  • Łukasz Bijoch from the Marceli Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology,
  • Marta Dratwa from the Ludwik Hirszfeld Institute of Immunologu and Experimental Therapy,
  • Piotr Jenczyk from the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research,
  • Marta Kędziora from the Jerzy Maj Institute of Pharmacology,
  • Kamila Maciejewska from the Włodzimierz Trzebiatowski Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research,
  • Aleksandra Piejka from the Institute of Psychology,
  • Jakub Skrzeczkowski from the Institute of Mathematics,
  • Aleksandra Splitt from the Władysław Szafer Institute of Botany,
  • Ankan Sur from the Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center,
  • Dawid Zaniewski from the Robert Szewalski Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery.

In the sixth edition of the competition for the scholarships of the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences, a total of 61 applications were submitted. Candidates were previously selected by the directors of 30 institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences in which doctoral studies are conducted.
