Constant access to fresh, clean water is a fundamental human need and, therefore, a basic human right. Meanwhile, the world's water supplies are shrinking due to global warming, industrial development and water pollution. Water scarcity affects not only certain communities, but also every human being. Without water, there would be no life on our planet. In the face of climate change, phenomena such as floods and droughts, make us believe that water crisis can affect anyone. Therefore, it is extremely important to develop a sense of responsibility for the preservation of water resources on Earth.

The event agenda includes: presentation of the 2021 UNESCO report, expert speeches and a panel discussion. Among the participants will be: Prof. Paweł Rowiński (Polish Academy of Sciences, PAS Institute of Geophysics), Prof. Tomasz Okruszko (Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW), Dr. Iwona Wagner (PAS European Regional Center for Ecohydrology, University of Łódź) and Dr. Krzysztof Niedziałkowski (PAS Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, PAS Mammal Research Institute).

Registration is required to participate in our online event. For more information, please visit the event website.
