YASAS aims to join a European project to improve the scientific input to policy making under the future version of SAPEA (Science Advice for Policy by European Academies) program. It includes young academies from the following European countries: Romania, Germany, Scotland, Spain, Finland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Hungary and Norway, and two international academies based in Germany: Young Academy of Europe and Global Young Academy.
