Professor Zofia Kielan-Jaworowska remembrance from „Nature”
On 9 April 2015, the journal Nature carried an obituary of the recently deceased Zofia Kielan-Jaworowska, an ordinary member of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS) and a retired professor at the PAS Institute of Paleobiology. This is a very rare (if not unique) case in which the lifetime achievements of a Polish researcher working in Poland have earned such prestigious international recognition.
The article furthermore describes the Institute to which Zofia Kielan-Jaworowska proudly contributed in very admirable terms, as "the pre-eminent Institute of Paleobiology in Warsaw, part of the Polish Academy of Sciences."
