Prof. Paweł Rowiński in ALLEA Board for a second term

ALLEA General Assembly has elected new Board during videoconference with the dellegates of ALLEA member academies on June 3, 2020. Professor Paweł Rowiński, vice president of the Polish Academy of Sciences, has been re-elected a Board Member. Congratulations!

Is’s his second term in the ALLEA Board and it will last till 2022.

Prof. Paweł Rowiński is a corresponding member and vice president of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS). A specialist in hydrodynamics and hydrology, especially mathematical modeling and experimental research into hydrological and hydrophysical processes, for years associated with the PAS Institute of Geophysics. Author of more than 150 scientific publications.

ALLEA

ALLEA is the European Federation of Academies of Sciences and Humanities, representing 61 academies from over 40 EU and non-EU countries. It was established in 1994, Polish Academy of Sciences is one of its founding members. In 2000 the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences based in Krakow also joined the organization.

Since its foundation, ALLEA speaks out on behalf of its members on the European and international stages, promotes science as a global public good, and facilitates scientific collaboration across borders and disciplines. It offers independent scientific advice and ensures reliable information to the public.
