Nencki Institute takes over Presidency of the Ochota Biocentre

On 19th October, during the inauguration of the Academic Year 2018/2019, the Presidency of the Ochota Biocentre was handed over to the Nencki Institute, and prof. Agnieszka Dobrzyń became the chairman of the Biocentre Board of Directors. Outgoing President of the consortium, prof. Adam Liebert, director of the Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering, handed the new president the gold owl statuette - a symbol of the presidency of the Biocentre Ochota. The Nencki Institute will hold the Presidency from November 1, 2018, to April 30, 2019.

Ochota Biocentre consortium consists of six institutes of Polish Academy of Sciences: Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, International Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biology, Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering, Mossakowski Medical Research Centre, and Institute of Fundamental Technological Research. In the Ochota Biocentre consortium, directors of each membership Institute holds a rotating function of the President of the Board of Directors of the Consortium.
