Professor Alberto Oliverio awarded the Medal of the Polish Academy of Sciences

On 6 April 2018 at the headquarters of the Sapienza University of Rome the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences Prof. Jerzy Duszyński awarded the Medal of the Polish Academy of Sciences to outstanding Italian psychopharmacologist Prof. Alberto Oliverio, in recognition of his exceptional merits to the development of science, both in Poland and worldwide, in particular for his understanding for the social role of science.

The award ceremony was attended by the Rector of the Sapienza University of Rome – Prof. Eugenio Gaudio, Deputy Rector for International Relations – Prof.  Bruno Botta and Prof. A. Oliverio’s collaborators. From the Polish side in the ceremony took part: Chargé d’affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Italy – Mrs. Marta Zielińska-Śliwka, Director of the Scientific Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Rome – Prof. Piotr Salwa and Director of the International Cooperation Department of PAS – dr Anna Plater-Zyberk.
