Representatives of the Embassy of Sweden at the Polish Academy of Sciences
On 19 October 2016 Her Excellency Inga Eriksson Fogh, the Swedish Ambassador to Poland, and Mr Daniel Larsson, Counsellor in the Embassy of Sweden, visited the Chancellery of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Prof. Jerzy Duszyński, PAS President, prof. Paweł Rowiński, PAS Vice-President and PAS International Cooperation Department’s Director, Mrs Małgorzata Musińska-Kubis took part in the meeting.
The discussions focused on the various aspects of revitalising the Swedish-Polish scientific cooperation, especially through organising common workshops PAS - Swedish universities, encouraging Swedish scientists to choose Poland as a place of their scientific career, sharing best practices in supporting scientists to obtain ERC grants as well as in linking the academic world with the business one.
Prof. Jerzy Duszyński has invited the representatives of the Embassy of Sweden to take part in the study visits at the Academy’s facilities such as modern laboratories of PAS Research Centre Energy Conversion and Renewable Resources in Jabłonna and prominent PAS Institutes, during which they could take a closer look at the Academy’s potential and the perspectives for mutual, profitable cooperation.
PAS delegation is in turn planning to visit scientific institutions in Stockholm and Uppsala in the near future.
