Polish Young Academy

The Polish Young Academy was established in 2010 in order to promote research and development activities of outstanding young representatives of Polish science. Members of the Polish Young Academy are elected by the General Assembly of the Academy of Sciences in a number that does not exceed 10% of the statutory number of members of the national Academy. At the time of selection, candidates may not exceed 38 years of age and must hold at least a doctoral degree.

The tasks of the Polish Young Academy are focused on efforts to activate the community of young scientists and mainly include: providing opinions and programs for science, organizing debates, discussions, and conferences aimed at discussing significant problems of represented and related disciplines and the dissemination of their results, issuing opinions and scientific assessments concerning represented and related disciplines, as well as promoting ethical standards among young scientists.
